I am pretty sure that I have heard this about 50 times in this past week, either in a church sermon, a morning devotional or a testimony to FOCUS on GOD and not the STORM.
Hebrews 12:2-3 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
Those words are easier said than done sometimes, however GOD has such an amazing way of to pouring himself into your heart and into those places that are wounded and bruised. When we begin that healing process it is imperative that you learn to pay attention to when the past is starting to rise up in our thinking, that we go to the LORD and again lay it at HIS feet. Healing sometimes is instant and sometimes is a process.
Tend to those wounds and cover it in prayer so that the enemy cannot come and steal your process. Do not give anyone place in your life. Some will come with discouragement and might even realize that is what they are doing. But again it’s about taken are thoughts captive as I had shared in a previous post.
It is no mistake that you are reading this today. It is to encourage you to keep pressing in. His love is completely different and life changing, HE is TRULY is only one bring the comfort and healing for your heart is crying for.
